Chanel Omari // John Tyler
We had the chance to chat with our favorite WWE and Total Divas Star, Ariane Andrew, AKA some of you might know her as her character Cameron on E!’s hit show, Total Divas, but she’s more than just a professional wrestler. This beauty has degrees in both Business Marketing and Psychology, she can sing and she is the “Jill of all Trades.”
Andrew had 3 successful years of Total Divas and it wasn’t always glitz and glam. The Fitness health guru had to overcome lots of rejection and obstacles in order to get to where she is now.
Andrew told me, that she believes in being a role model and representing as living proof and that when you are focused, determined and ambitious, the sky has no limits.”
In the first 3 seasons of E! Total Divas, Andrew stole the show and captured not only my heart, but the heart of countless fans. The program series did give viewers an inside look of the lives of WWE divas/Superstars from their work within WWE to their personal lives.
Andrew expressed the challenges and why she parted ways with the show after 3 seasons, due to the deformation of her personality and character and says she is excited to share the real her, her new chapter and platform with us. Although she appreciates her time and is super grateful for the opportunity.
Andrew, exclusively shares with us that she is excited to be working on new sound and music for 2017/2018 and says her sound is more of a Nicki Minaj sound. In 2014, Andrew released her first record/single “Bye Bye” and “Wrong Number” which went viral within top 40 and main stream music.
Andrew calls herself an underdog because of her childhood and family adversities growing up and with s many adversities dealing with the WWE. Ariane understands that having a vision with driven work ethics and commitment are essential to becoming a successful person. She is our kind of girl!
Looking and moving forward, Andrew is excited about her acting, hosting, fitness and singing career. She also has the time to give back! Andrew is touring high schools and college campuses all over, speaking about issues that are dear to her which includes importance of higher education and the harmful effects of bullying. Not to mention, she volunteers her time to organizations that focus on early childhood development and working with children with special needs and Autism.
As a female and WWE alumni, in the sports entertainment world, Andrew has first hand experience with the drawbacks of being not just a female, but an African American female in a male dominated industry. She is trying to inspire women around the world to find their unique voice and embrace themselves for who they are no matter what because at the end of the day no one is going to be your biggest champion, but you!
Make sure to check out Andrew’s new nationally syndicated travel based TV show called, “Two on Where.” Make sure to follow her on all her social media platforms @ArianeAndrew on twitter, snap chat, instagram and facebook!
Until next time,
Xo Your Girl, Chanel Omari
